Victoria Secret Hair & Makeup Tips (On Acne Skin)

Let’s track back a bit, some mornings, just some, you might wake up feeling like the best version of yourself. Other times your energy could have you slumped over saying something like “What did I do to my mirror for it to pretend to hate me so much?” We all come under the latter category at least sometimes. At one point I used to think being put together and orderly had a lot of prerequisites attached to them such as spending hours on end to achieve said look, utilizing high end products, or maybe even a budget that could afford a Victoria Secret runway.

Spoiler alert for you: It doesn’t. After a range of self experiments (and some makeup blunders, my name is forever associated with the orange foundation phase) I have come to the conclusion that achieving stunning everyday looks does not need an exorbitant amount of time, money, or effort poured into the Endeavor. If you’re a busy mom, a working woman hustling to meet deadlines, or even just want to feel fabulous without much effort put in, you’re in luck. In this article, I will provide five straightforward, no-frills pointers designed to help you establish a beauty regimen that is easy and empowering in equal measure. Let’s jump into the good stuff, how to glow up without breaking a sweat.

1. How to Look like a Pro Prep Your Skin

There can be no adequate foundation without great skin. The goal of almost anyone willing to achieve a polished sexy image can now become reality and skin polish would be the secret sauce to an even more flawless look which in turn would set you up for even more polished looks.

What’s my go-to approach? That’s simple – it would be a lightweight moisturizer with a dab of Aquaphor under my eyes (believe me, it’s more effective than the priciest eye cream). This combo keeps your skin hydrated, especially if acne treatments that can make your face feel like the Sahara Desert are used.

Remember to spend about 2 minutes massaging in your moisturizer. Focus on oily, trouble spots to keep makeup from sliding off. If you’re mumbling about time constraints, I’ve got your back. I used to skip this step, and let’s say crusty face by noon was not the vibe. Pro tip: apply your skincare while your coffee brews and you’re good to go. 2. Undone Hairstyles That Don’t Actually Look Like They’ve Been Done

Your hair can make or break your vibe, but oddly enough, it doesn’t take an entire salon appointment to look like you stepped out of one. A game-changer for me has been a wet brush paired with a leave-in conditioner. After shampooing, I do it twice to ensure additional cleanliness, I gently brush my damp hair and add three pumps of conditioner to enhance shine. After this step, volumizing spray goes on the roots; I use exactly two pumps and nothing more or less.

Now onto the real highlight moment. Allow your strands to air-dry while applying makeup for efficiency – try doing it until it’s about 90% dry. Prepare yourself! At that point, get a two-in-one brush and the ever-efficient hair dryer (because who has time for separate tools?). There is a method to the magic- place a roller at the top region, pop the roller in for volumetric gain, and blow dry in a circular motion. Can we take a moment to think about how loaded this is? It indeed was shocking for me as well. Rollers can prove to be mystique props for spannable, bouncy Vicky secret hair level curls. The final step would be: to spritz with texturizing spray, feeling like a goddess will be on the top of the list once done. The feeling was divine, while it was challenging, it was in direct collaboration with a workout.

3. To enjoy step basic: step two, muck up everything to simply get started, and get the base, this is called ‘natural makeup.

Let’s term this as ‘make up’, a practiced hobby of mine. Loreal works wonders from Vicky herself for a contouring product which was a love at first sight. Reasons behind this was simply you can paint, seal and stamp a goodman entire house and watch it look beautiful. Truly not, a strapping, stern belief let me tell you. We are living in a pretty world. A place with an abscond skin. With Hydra make up primer my skin keeps wonders. If, like me, you believe in skin oil controlling your make up, fiery hot climates will be of huge powder to put on if oily foundation control. Note that if you mix a full coverage and smooth radiant tint meaning skin, shimmering illuminate, it makes for worse custom clashing conflict arguing with mutable skin place to then with emphasis. Blasted pave mountain everywhere will look. All of this I realized from a make-up artist friend of mine, but I assure you if you don’t want appear to shatter into little pieces, merging blending will keep pock mark looking, will work every bit of magic.

With a moist sponge, blend small sections. Be careful not to manipulate it too much as that will erase the coverage. Place a liquid blush for warmth (I once picked a random shade and now I can’t stop wearing it). If you are the type to worry about being ‘too done,’ don’t. Cream products lovingly meld into your skin which conveys a softer look. Translucent setting powder, and you are good to sparkle. Need some eye-candy? This Instagram reel shows how to flawlessly blend in under a minute.

4. Enhance the Eyes and Brows

Eyes along with brows define the contours of your face, and thank God, no need to be a master in makeup to do them justice. For brows, I swear by hairspray as a gel. Spray a spoolie, wait for it to get tacky, then brush to shape. Then, grab an angled brush with a light hand of brow product and fill in some gaps. Sparse is best to steer clear of the block brow trend from 2016. And for the finishing touches, a beige pencil or concealer does the claim.

To create eye makeup, I sculpt the colours with a fluffy brush, starting from the outer corners blending a dusty rose into the crease. I add more glitz by putting shimmery shadow *gasp* on my lids with my fingers! And to polish things off, I add a subtle winged black liner along my upper eyelid and mascara. If I’m looking for an effortless glam look without the fuss, I apply some fake lashes to the outer corners. If you struggle with eyeliner, try drawing on your palm first, it’ll make applying eyeliner easier if you focus on using precise motions.

5. Finish with Lips and a Glow

Lips and highlighter is the very last thing to be done. I use them as the finishing touch. For my lips, I start by contouring them using my go-to lip liner followed by applying a centre bold pink lipstick and finishing with plumping lip gloss for added juiciness. If you blend more like me, then put all the fuzzy hairs you have just above the lip area. No shade intended, but it works wonders. For highlighter, put some on your cheekbones, the tip of your nose and brow bone, dab a bit of liquid with a fluffy brush and that’s it. Consider it liquid sunlight.

Seal everything with a setting spray – my choice of glue for the face secures every inch of my makeup for the day. The first time I followed this routine, I could not believe how effortless the look was. A client once told me that ever since she started doing this lip trick before meetings, she felt as if she could conquer the world. You will as well.

And there you have it, five steps to an effortless beauty that gives a stunning final look while ensuring you work smarter, not harder. There is no need to surrender to a pre-packed beauty kit and spend hours getting ready. Start small and feel good about it. Maybe one day try the hair rollers and the next the lip gloss trick. You want to feel like the best version of yourself, running errands and ruling the boardroom. So, grab your moisturizer, channel your sparkle, and have fun with it because you have this.
